The SAE-China engineers' training and continuing education platform aims to fostering professional technicians with both virtue and talent, which provides a powerful support for improving independent innovative capability of China auto industry. This platform will be closely combined with the engineers' training and continuing education programs promoted by the government, and it will also become an important support to AER.

　　In the aspects of training modes and training contents, the SAE-China engineers' training and continuing education platform will be closely combined with the trend of technical development and the demand of professional posts, starting from improving the pertinency and effectiveness to stress the training of new theory, new knowledge, new technology and new methods, and pay attention to improving the capability of the scientific technicians to analyze and solve problems, making the trainees fully improved in overall knowledge structure, specialized function and in grasping the current automotive technology trend.

　　At present, this platform has started the following training programs: Knowledge Updating Training for Professional Technicians (simplified as “653 project”), Automotive Engineer Registered Training (simplified as “AER training”) and Vehicle Engineer Training (simplified as “VET program”).
